The tech sector in Britain is booming, it’s transformed the economy and put the UK on the map as a formidable tech nation. Tech has transformed the way businesses operate up and down the country. The digital economy has grown at such a significant pace creating over 1.6m jobs and growing at an astonishing rate 32% faster than the rest of the economy. The tech sector is giving power to growth in business like never before and offering many more opportunities than previously seen. Traditional businesses have undergone a marked change with much to back this up through some brilliant figures uncovered by the Tech Nation report recently released; talent is thriving, salaries are increasing and businesses are succeeding.

Roar Media, a recent startup in the UK, has identified the need to explore the UK tech landscape in thorough detail through hearing from those working in and around the sector leading tech initiatives. Their breakthrough event, Tech for Britain 2016, will welcome true leaders in the space to offer insight into the ever-expanding space through presentations, panel discussions, and discussions.

Tech for Britain will welcome the likes of Bruce Daisley, UK Managing Director & European Vice President at Twitter who has lead Twitter on a transformation journey on our shores. We will also hear from those leading digital technology initiatives in the Government, a keynote presentation from Mayank Prakash, Director General Digital Technology at the Department of Work & Pensions, the country’s biggest public services department. Mayank is leading the department transformation to make it a sound digital operation.

As well as keynotes highlighting UK Vision, Business Transformation, Trends, and Future Technologies, the event sheds light to gender diversity with a session dedicated to Women in Technology. With presentations, fireside chats & panel discussions, this session will explore barriers to entry, journeys taken, and insight into a hugely popular topic area.

The need for such an event is highlighted by the need to ‘get to grips’ with how we can continue this magnificent journey and to understand our booming tech & digital sector better.

Tech for Britain takes place at Stamford Bridge in London on June 9th and will feature over 20 speakers, 150 attendees and countless networking opportunities to accompany great content.
