Learn how to develop leadership skills and lead teams effectively in a fast-changing world
Stepping up into a leadership role in today’s dynamic environment comes with complex challenges.
To lead others effectively, you first have to lead yourself; you have to build the resilience and growth mindset to overcome hurdles, and to mobilise, align and inspire collaborative teams in a changing workplace, in changing times.
Developing Emerging Leaders is a dynamic, online learning programme that will challenge you to learn about yourself and how your behaviours and decisions impact the performance of those around you. You will explore leadership through the multiple lenses of power and fairness, culture and psychological safety. And you will emerge with the understanding, the clarity and the confidence to make a decisive step forward in your career and your role within the organisation.
Key learning concepts in the programme curriculum
The programme curriculum and leadership development plan span over five weeks.
Leading yourself: Develop a growth mindset through continuous learning in your leadership practice, resilience, and emotional intelligence.
Leading others: Assess your own and others’ behaviours, learn how to give and receive effective feedback, and nurture developmental relationships.
Leading change: Overcome the challenges of change by addressing unconscious biases, problem-solving and facilitating difficult conversations while capturing learning.
Leading collaborative teams: Discover the key drivers of collaboration and design high-performance teams for optimal results.
The changing nature of work: Understand the contemporary workplace trends and the hybrid workplace. Define an integrated approach to Employee Value Proposition (iEVP) to address critical human challenges.
Throughout the training programme, you will collaborate with your learning coach and peers to develop your leadership development plan. You will also have the chance to practice applying your learnings to your own leadership role.
